Information on how your child is developing and activities at Tiddly Winks (15 comments)
From the day your child started with us at Tiddly Winks, we started to compile an individual ‘Learning Journey’. This document travels with your child as they progress through the nursery, and on to school, and contains information about how your child is developing through the activities we offer, both indoors and outdoors, who their key person is, and what your child is ready to do next.
In order to keep you better informed, we will be sending these home as a matter of routine, although we ask that you return these promptly, so that we can continue to keep them up to date.If you would like to meet with your child’s key person, or Lynne, we are happy to arrange a mutually convenient time. Each week we plan activities to offer to each group of children. This is a dynamic and changing plan, which is adapted and expanded as each day goes along, according to the children’s interests and responses. There is now a copy of this document on the door to each room.
Mealtimes (4 comments)
We are always looking at ways to tempt and expand the foods our little customers will eat, whilst maintaining enough familiar foods at each meal to ensure that the children are not hungry. Please do consult our menu for information on what we have offered at each meal
We offer fresh fruit every day after both lunch and tea instead of a sugary desertAt tea time, we encourage the children to take part in the preparation, developing use of cutlery and independence. Hence tea time is based on filled and spreadable items ~ bread or similar (pitta bread, crumpets, pancakes, rolls)Our food supplies are delivered weekly from SainsburysOur menu has been rewritten to give you more information about the foods we are offering. You will be able to see our weeks menu at the front door daily.
Miscellaneous comments
After school and out of school programs: unfortunately it is not possible for us to offer collection or drop off to additional schools. However, many parents have been able to arrange for their child to be dropped off with us after school privately, in which case we are always happy to have children around school times. During the holidays we do have a few older children (usually siblings, or children who have been through the nursery) who join the upstairs group. If we could build another room onto the nursery anywhere, we would love to have a dedicated out of school group! (2 comments)
Internet banking is available to all parents. I will be adding our banking details to invoices as a matter of routine. Please reference the payment with your child’s name. (1 comment)
